  • Do I need to take the tests in the book?
    You will be given several tests and quizzes throughout the course. The tests in the book help gage your knowledge level and prepare you for the state test and it is recommended that you take advantage of all tests, quizzes, keyword matches etc.
  • What do I do after I pass the state test?
    Students must complete a fingerprinting process through Morphotrack.
  • How soon after passing the real estate exam must I apply for the issuance of my initial license?
    All applicants must apply for the issuance of their initial license WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF COMPLETING THE REAL ESTATE PRE-LICENSURE COURSE.
  • Are there any waivers of the education requirements?
    If you are a Broker or Salesperson in another state, a disabled veteran, an attorney, have taken college courses in Real Estate, or have a degree in real estate, you may qualify for an education waiver.   • How do I go about getting a job working for a Real Estate Brokerage?
    Newly licensed agents are independent contractors and may interview to work at any real estate company in the State of NJ. We recommend you interview with at least 3 different brokerages prior to making a decision
  • How soon must I take the State test?
    We recommend that you take the test as soon as possible after completing the course but you have 1 year from the time you complete the class to hang your licenses with a broker.
  • If I have questions or if I need to miss the class for more than a day (vacation, illness, etc, who do I call?"

  • Should I take notes?
    You should take notes on all lectures and highlight important information in your textbook.
  • What are the qualifications for a Real Estate Salespersons license?
    To qualify for a Real Estate Salespersons license you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school education or equivalency, complete a 75 hour pre-licensure course at a licensed school and pass the New Jersey examination. After passing the examination, you must apply for a license through a sponsoring Employing Broker within 1 year from the expiration of the school certificate or you must again complete all requirements.
  • What format are the courses held?
    In accordance with Governor Murphy’s mandate and our commitment to protecting the health of our community,Signature Realty Academy will not host in-person classes at this time. We will continue to hold online virtual classes. We appreciate your patience as we work through this difficult time.
  • What if I miss or fail my class test?
    You may schedule a make-up test or a retest. Each additional test will cost $15, for the proctoring, and you will be allotted 3 attempts to pass. Should you fail all three attempts you would have to pay and sit through the course again.
  • What if I fail the State test?
    You can retake the state test in accordance with the testing centers availability. If you do not pass the test and hang your license with a broker within the 1 year period, then you must retake the course.
  • What is the process for taking the state exam?
    Students will be able to register online for the state exam through PSI once the school has submitted their name having successfully passed the school test. Students will pick a date and location to sit for the state exam. Students must score a 70% or higher in order to pass the state exam. Students may retake the state exam as many times, as needed, with an additional exam fee each time.
